At the early age of 17, I was a Congressional Capital Page in the mid sixties living and working in Washington D.C. and becoming acclimated early to the character of government and the democratic environment. I graduated college from Penn State University in 1975 with a Bachelor Degree in political science. I attended law school in the evenings for four years at Seton Hall Law Center in Newark, New Jersey and while there served as a student representative on the Probation and Grievance Committee and participated in the Essex Newark Legal Services Clinic. I taught in Parochial Middle School early during such period , then took on a full-time position as Plant Manager at Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company in Hackensack, New Jersey and later established an independent real estate title abstracting business searching, reviewing and reporting on real estate titles status for most of the major Title Insurance Companies underwriting title insurance in the State of New Jersey, which business sustained me through Law School. After law school for nearly three years I worked for Chicago Title Insurance Company in claims and later as an Associate Underwriting Counsel while I was attempting to establish my independent law practice in New Jersey. I initially practiced generally in the field as a solo, a few years into the practice I consolidated my practice with another general practitioner colleague and friend of mine, Dean Despotovich, Esq., and throughout our tenure we handled general tort cases which often involved litigation and settlement practices and I personally concentrated to a degree in the handling of real property issues and transactions. Several years into my general practice I met and later joined in the practice with John Milling, Esq. where we focused on business transactional practice and where I began my material exposure to securities law and practice. I am thankful to Mr. Milling for his opportunities provided to me and for his friendship and guidance in my eventual establishment of my business transactional practice where I exist today. I have established several limited business interests along the way and have participated on several corporate Boards of Directors, the most significant of which is and has been my participation as a Director (and also legal counsel) of and for Synergy Brands Inc. a Delaware domiciled NASDAQ listed (symbol SYBR) public company having its principal business offices in Syosset, New York. I also act as a business consultant to other various commercial interests and I strive to soon further give back to my legal community by teaching the law in the areas where I have acumen and practice.
